Children’s diagnostic assessments for Dyslexia are conducted by our experienced under 16s assessor, Louise Crawford.

Louise is a fully qualified specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor and has a number of years’ experience in assessing and teaching learners. She holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) and is a qualified primary school teacher. Louise prides herself on making every child feel comfortable during the assessment process and communicating extensively with parents and carers.

Children’s diagnostic assessments are usually carried out with children from around 8 years of age onwards. Whilst Louise cannot diagnose other SpLD’s, she can make referrals to suitably qualified specialists. If a diagnosis of dyslexia is made, an assessment carried out by Louise can be used for Disabled Student Allowance.

Children’s diagnostic assessments cost £525.
