Having needed extra support herself over the years, in 2016 Phil discovered she is autistic and since then has been working to raise awareness and understanding of the needs of neurodivergent people. Since 2020 Phil has been working as an Autistic Consultant, and in 2022 she founded a new business, SquarepegSEN – Support and Education for Neurodiversity http://www.squarepegsen.co.uk

Phil has been a supporter and volunteer for the National Autistic Society for over 10 years, and has hosted support groups and training events for autistic adults and parents of autistic children.

Phil now contracts for a number of organisations as a consultant and also gives talks and training on autism from the autistic perspective.
